Google or Yahoo?
Which one do you prefer to use, Google or Yahoo?
I often encounter this question or a version of it from discussion boards or forums. And as always, pages of reasons why the other one is better than the other will be solicited from readers.
If asked, I use both of them in different circumstances for very simple reasons. For fast searches, I prefer Google. With a plain, white background, Google logo, search box and some links, the page really loads fast. That saves time when doing multiple searches.
When I want to have a quick scan reading on the latest international news, whether business, entertainment, technology, or politics, I found Yahoo as the best place to start. I don’t often watch news on TV so when I have some leisure time, Yahoo is a great way to pass the time just reading the headlines.
Simply put, there’s no need to make the choices so complicated. Unless, you are being paid some bucks to use only a particular search engines, it is but wise to check both and use according to their strengths.
