Letting Go Versus Setting Free

1. LETTING GO when you realize that love didn’t exist after all
SETTING FREE when you love him and for special reasons, you sacrifice
2. LETTING GO when you are tired of his crazy ideas and his personality
SETTING FREE when he is tired of you
3. LETTING GO for unclear reasons, invalid ones and the unknown
SETTING FREE for valid unselfish reasons
4. LETTING GO when he goes just because you said so
SETTING FREE when he uses his freedom to choose where to stay- where he thinks he’s free
5. LETTING GO when he’s gone forever
SETTING FREE when you’ll wait for him
6. LETTING GO for someone you thought you love
SETTING FREE for someone you love and will always love for the rest of your life
7. LETTING GO asks, “Will this make me feel better?”
SETTING FREE asks, “Will this make her feel better?”
8. LETTING GO is taking adjustment into consideration
SETTING FREE is taking recovery into consideration
9. LETTING GO is the beginning of a new life
SETTING FREE is the beginning of a new life in a new world
10. LETTING GO is asking yourself, “How will I get used to this?”
SETTING FREE is asking yourself, “How will I ever get through this?”
11. LETTING GO is foregoing someone who has been a part of your life
SETTING FREE is foregoing someone who has been your life
12. LETTING GO is letting someone walk out or your life with arms wide open
SETTING FREE is letting someone walk out of your life with eyes wide shut

A Reason, a Season or a Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,
To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are..
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
Things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson,
Love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant

Thank you for being a part of my life,
Whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Break Time

breaktime_questions_phexchanger

I’ve been trying to fall asleep on my chair using my pillow to block out the light just so I could stop thinking until I got tired trying. I stand up and went out yet it was too hot outside watching the speeding cars on the street. I wonder why there’s no traffic at this time of the day.

There! The questions are there again, like popcorns that keep popping.  I don’t even have time to answer the first one before the next train of thought comes.  Maybe, our minds are like that of children, a factory of questions. Only, we try to ignore some because we are too busy with our everyday life. If I write down some of the questions, I might have answers in some future time so here are some of them. Maybe, you could help me out.

I miss you.

Do you say you miss a person because you love that person? Or is it the physical intimacy that you’ve previously shared that you miss? If there was no physical intimacy, would you miss her/him?

Please don’t go away.

Is going away one way of saying goodbye? What are we afraid of? Are we afraid that once they’re gone, they might forget us? Or are we afraid of our own self, forgetting what we felt for them and not keeping our promise of staying in love even if we’re far apart.

Meeting.

Why do we want to see each other always? Is it because we love that person and really want to be with them? Or are we afraid that if we don’t meet often, they might find someone else to fall in love with? Or are we afraid of our own self that we might fall out of love and find someone else to fall in love, thus, breaking our promises?

I love you.

Why do we keep reminding the persons we love that we love them and that we miss them? Is it because we are afraid they might forget that we do love them and might find other persons to love more than they loved us? Or are we just reminding ourselves that these are the persons we love and that we must not forget that we love them.

Happiness.

How do we measure happiness? Is it by counting the material things we possess, the number of friends we have, the places we’ve traveled, the positions we have?  Can we really measure happiness? When can we say we are truly happy with our own lives?

Writing down some thoughts is kind of liberating sometimes and I have not done that much writing on this blog and the other blogs for sometime. I need to find more inspiration from both the outside and the virtual world. :)

Will You

Will You

Will you miss me when I am not around
Will you look for me when I can’t be found
Do you smile with remembrance
The secret jokes we shared
And lighten up even your darkest mood.
When you close your eyes
Do you see our reflection
Holding hands amidst the rain and storm
I wish you do, I wish you do
Cause if not, I’d surely be hurt
Because the world will be so lonesome
Without your smiling face

Mamang Mailap

Mamang Mailap

Mamang mailap
Ngiti mong kayhirap mahagilap
Sa tuwina’y hinahanap
Kasama ng nakakatunaw mong sulyap

Mamang mailap
Tuwing sa iyo’y napapalapit
Puso’y kumakabog
Di mapakali at namimilipit

Mamang mailap
Kelan papawiin sa puso ang pananabik
Hinihintay ng mga labi
Ang mga halik mong walang kasing init

Mamang mailap
Sana’y mapansin mo na
Pagiging mailap, sana’y iwasan na
Nang ang puso’y lumigaya
